Day Group Workshops:

(hand-building techniques)

Cost: $80.00/person + hst – A minimum of two students

You will be able to make examples of the following: Mugs, bowls, vases, plates and serving trays.

A three hour workshop will cover basic pottery hand-building techniques with a variety of examples.

The pottery will have a glaze applied (glass coating) and be kiln-fired. The work will be fully functional and food safe.

A maximum of four students per workshop to allow more one-on-one instruction. This course is great for friends or organized groups.

Time and dates of classes can be scheduled to cater to each group

Individual Instruction

(Pottery-wheel and Hand-building)

Cost: $360.00 + hst (12 hr over a scheduled time)

Private instruction sessions have been designed to give the student a rapid and progressive learning experience with traditional hand-building techniques and use of the potter’s wheel.

Planters, mugs, plates, and bowls are some of the items one can make. There is also the opportunity for people to focus on larger projects – something they have always wanted to make.

The course includes 45 lbs of clay (more can be purchased), use of tools, materials, equipment, and a variety of stains and glazes.

The pottery will be kiln-fired, and finished pieces will be fully functional and food safe. The student will be able to glaze the pieces and apply decorations (drawings) to the work.

Times and dates can be scheduled to cater each individuals need. Dates and hours can vary from day, week and month.

Workshops offered in Saint John and  Fredericton during the winter months.

These are hand-building evening courses   (6 weeks/ 3hrs week)
